Enrolling
The Enrolment Process
1. Book a visit the Centre
Start by booking a visit to see the Centre and what we do. Visits are usually booked at 10.30 am or 1.30pm and you are welcome to come with or without the student. We will take you on a tour of the farm and show you our wonderful site.
2. Complete application pack
After the visit you will receive an application pack that needs to be filled in with student’s personal details, plus any information that will help our staff to provide the right support.
You will also be asked to complete a support plan with any important relevant information about the student.
Please complete the application form very carefully so we have all the information needed to provide the right support for the student, and return to the office before the student’s Taster Day.
Requirements
- All our students must have an up-to-date tetanus immunisation before starting at the Centre
- We require written consent to work with animals, make hot drinks or take paracetamol, so please ensure this is completed on the application form.
3. Attend free Taster Day
After the visit, we offer the student a taster day, free of charge, so they can have a look at all the activities and decide which one suits them best.
This allows new students to get to know our staff and feel more comfortable when they decide to attend. We will require the completed application pack prior to attend the taster day.
4. Once placement is agreed, start attending
Once the placement has been agreed by Social Services and care managers, then the students can start attending.
