Walking & Adaptive Cycling
We try to encourage the students to go out walking as much as possible while here at the centre as it not only helps with keeping active, but it also helps break the day up if some students are doing 5 days as it can be good for their wellbeing to get a little fresh air and a break from their regular activities. We are situated in an ideal spot for scenic woodland walks and quiet walks into the village.
Every Wednesday morning we take a small group out bike riding, unless the weather is bad. We hire the bikes from a small cycle club in Canterbury which provides a safe environment with adaptive cycling machines, which offers an open-air cycling experience for less able adults in the Canterbury district. Students really enjoy this activity.
Football
Our students here love the football sessions as it gives them the chance to not only go out into the community but to participate in a fun exercise that caters for everyone’s individual needs and abilities.
We aim to do this activity on Thursday mornings when the weather is nice, we do usually stop this activity through the colder months as it’s normally a little too muddy, wet and cold to be playing football.

Book a visit and a free taster day
If you are interested in a place, you can book a visit to see the Centre and what we do. Visits are usually booked at 10.30 am or 1.30pm and you are welcome to come with or without the student. We will take you on a tour of the farm and show you our wonderful site.
After your visit you will receive an application pack to complete and the student can join us for a free Taster Day, to see the different the activities and get to know our staff so they feel comfortable there.
Once the placement has been agreed by Social Services and care managers, then the students can start attending.
